Looking ahead...

Looking ahead... to a possible trip out West next year with my family. I have never been out West -- I picture flowing rivers with wonderful pools created by rock formations; the place where fish are hiding.

I have only caught a couple of fish using a fly rod. It's tough. Of course, the harder it is, the more satisfying the success. Still, I'd have to admit that fly fishing and the ensuing frustration has, on the rare occasion, sent me scrambling back to a nice lake with my reel.

The research on the best fishing spots in Wyoming begins... until then, we have some nice rivers right here in New York.
